Baby

We are having a......GIRL! How exciting!!! One of each--so fun. Since I'm only 15 weeks 4 days, the ultrasound tech said 'don't go painting the room pink' because she said it's still early to tell, but she's pretty certain. I've heard she's never wrong, too! AND especially looking at Boston's and this baby's ultrasound, they are SO different. So, I'm going pink. I'm also measuring a week ahead, which is funny because I was for SURE thinking I was not as far along. Since they could be off a week when measuring the baby, they aren't moving my due date until a doctor looks at it. I'm fine with that...so looks like I'm measuring 16 weeks 3 days, doesn't really matter!

I told Jeff not to call me because I wasn't going to tell him over the phone. So after I found out I ran to Target and got some DARLING polka dot onesies and put them in a bag with the 'girl' picture. He opened it and said 'It's a girl???' and I smiled and we hugged. We're both excited. I think I was leaning more towards wanting a boy, but thought it was a girl...mom's instinct I guess!! Such a great feeling knowing this is a girl!

Little girl! So I guess I'm not going to 'paint the room pink' but we're set on a girl, and who knows? It'll be fun if it changes, too! We're okay with whatever!

WSU Cougs

We had a fun opportunity to go to Pullman and watch the Cougs play...or aka watch Andrew Luck on Stanford. Jeff was really excited because I guess Andrew will be the #1 pick in the NFL draft so Jeff really wanted to see him! We left Boston with my mom so he could go to a birthday party {he has friends} and play. It was a nice getaway!

Although Boston didn't come, we still had to dress him up! I'm also counting these pics as a pregnant picture...since it's hard to miss. :) 15 weeks 3 days.

It was a fun little getaway! 1.5 hours driving both ways so we did a lot of talking, which was nice too. I tell ya though, whole other world down in Pullman.

The next few pictures are taken a couple hours ago. Boston was just being so cute while watching Lion King. I especially love his hands behind his head. We also think he might be getting his molars too. We had a weird experience last night--Boston woke up at 1am screaming his head off. He didn't want Jeff or I, so we just sat on the floor next to him, which was what he wanted. After about 20 minutes of screaming, Jeff gave Boston a Priesthood blessing and right after Jeff ended, Boston stopped crying and didn't make another peep. Very cool experience but that's weird, right? Anyway, all signs point to two year molars. I just hope I can keep him comfortable!

We love our Boston. :) My ultrasound is tomorrow and I'm SO excited. Whether or not we find out the sex, I'm just excited to see the little bean. It'll be a fun experience! I'm sure I'll post on that soon. Happy Sunday!

Gettin' Wood & other ramblings

The past two weekends, we've gone out to Grandma's and stocked up on wood for the winter. It's actually really fun...Boston loves the chainsaw and Jeff chopping wood. It's so cute--he mimics the movements of Jeff chopping wood and my step-dad with the chain saw. He even grunts when he 'chops' the wood like he is actually doing it. I love it.

We also bought Lion King and Boston constantly asks to watch it. He goes 'rawww' meaning Lions...or 'meow' when asking to watch it. This picture was taken yesterday after we got him all ready for church--watching Lion King.

Also, here's a pregnant pic! I had Jeff take it yesterday after I napped...so don't mind the hair. I was 14 weeks and 4 days in this picture!! I'm really feeling great.

So funny...I asked Jeff if he wanted me to take a picture and show how 'far' along he is too. :) He actually agreed!!! Jeff at 14 weeks and 4 days :)

23 AND 13 weeks!

Last Friday was my 23rd birthday! There really isn't anything special that comes with turning 23, right??? I guess just wisdom. This year my birthday fell on a Friday, which is the PERFECT day to fall on! I had a dr. apt in the morning {more on that in a sec} and came home to singing and presents...I wish I had my camera handy walking in the door and the boys sitting on the top step singing...it was cute. Jeff surprised me with a lime green kitchen aid!!!!!!!! That's every girls' dream right??? I don't have any excuse to why I'm not making homemade bread and cookies all the time now...It is a beauty. My sis sent me really nice utensils, and my mom got me a Cabela's knife set....guess I needed better kitchen stuff. I was so excited.

K I was looking at pictures and was thinking I was sitting here last birthday...well I was right!!

Look how young Boston looks?? Geez! Oh and I guess I can't use the pregnancy excuse since I had the chocolate cake last year too...oops. :)

I will be 14 weeks on Thursday!! Second trimester! This has FLOWN by! Nothing really happened at my apt...I heard that little heartbeat {150 bpm like last time} and NO weight gain! Last time I gained weight fast so this is great news! :) I have an ultrasound in two weeks to check my progress...I'll be almost 16 weeks!!!!!! Which means maybe they can peak and see what the sex is? That'll be way cool. If not, the big ultrasound is in 6-7....whatev. We found out what Boston was between 16-17 weeks so there is hope. The other great news is no more being sick! The only time I feel sick is if I starve myself for more then 6 hours, which is pretty normal for non-pregnant people.

New wreath & such

I finally switched my wreath to a Fall one!! I really do love it. We are also switching Boston's room around to make it more 'big boy' ish. We still had the changing table and basket's as his drawer, so we needed to change that asap. I found a cute little red one at the store Coco knowing I would need to paint, which was fine with me!! In the next week or two we'll switch him to a toddler bed--which I'm a little nervous for.

The new wreath!!! I swear I have the worst luck with hot glue guns, too. I made Lacie one and somehow got hot glue on my face, which made rip it off really fast....aka ripped my skin off. THEN with this one and was wrapping the cord around the gun and it hit my hand...SAME thing happened. I have many battle wounds.

And...what's a post without Boston???

I always have the camera handy because he does some of the best things. He is so funny with his toys. Where ever he goes, he brings 12 toys with him. I was doing dishes and he thought the toys would go best in the dish washer?? Whatever little dude.

Boston and I had a really fun time last week...it would've been better if Jeff was with us but let's face it...he's gone lots. We went to the fair twice, saw cool animals, ate junk, and laughed a lot. Boston and I are little buddies. Tonight we sat on the couch leaning on each other and laughed at nothing. It was so cute. Actually, we laughed at Jeff because he ate his dinner when it was TOO hot.

This was so cute. Boston would bend down to look at this cow/camel thing although he could see perfectly fine...he just wanted to do what we were doing.

This was so bad. I'm going on run/walk and I go by this car...I'm thinking geez what happened! I go by a second time and then the news cast was there. I overhead 'fire' and 'middle of the night' so I was like dang! That was about it. THEN I watch the news at 12 and there was an arsonist going around in the middle of the night setting cars on fire. This car was down the street from our house! Three other cars were set on fire around the valley...can you believe people???

And...here's my first pregnant pic for you guys. I'm not showing really, but in pictures I feel like there is little bump! This is two days short of 12 weeks. I have my next apt on my birthday! Nothing new to report, other than I'm feeling just as tired, but less sick! I put on make up everyday now and get dressed, but not so much into doing my hair! That's why my hair is nasty.

Lazy Sundays

I know most people love Sundays because it's SO relaxing. I don't know what it is about Sunday that makes me nap so much longer than other days! Anyway, we had a very relaxing Sunday this passed week. It was fun just hanging with my boys.

Watching Football with Jeff after his 3 hour nap...He was so cuddly.

I was showing Boston his new shoes that I got him the day before and when I was done I asked him to put them away...I guess this is what he thought of them. :) Makes you kind of laugh, right?

He is really into stacking my blocks lately...which is fine with me because it keeps him occupied for at least an hour.

I feel like doing this....

I have honestly fallen asleep on our kitchen floor. It was when I was 6 weeks or so, and all I wanted to do was lay on the cool floor, so I did! Next thing I know Jeff's trying to get me to wake up and lay on the couch! Funny, right??

Oh man, I can't wait until I'm done with the first trimester! It hasn't been bad at all, but I'm looking forward to having a little more energy. It's so hard because when Boston naps, I'd like to nap BUT I can't because there is studying to be done OR blocks to be made. Most days I say 'forget it' and take a nap because I'm so.dang.tired.

In other news, Boston has this new face that cracks me up. I laugh so hard because sometimes he makes this face WHILE talking...it's hilarious.

...and judge me if you'd like but in this house we kind of skipped Fall decorations and went right to Halloween...:) :)

Isn't that tree branch/ornament thing to die for??? I found something similar in a magazine so I made a few changes and made my own!!

We're having another baby!!!! We can't be MORE excited, too! This baby is due April 5th, which is right before Jeff's finals...uh oh. :) When a little baby needs to come we can't stop it! We found out August 1st and it's been killing me {I know it's only been a month} not to tell everyone!! With Boston we told everyone right away, but this time we thought we should wait. I had a Dr. apt shortly after and things were confirmed! Today, I had another apt where we heard the heartbeat and it's nice and healthy so I figured it's safe enough to tell!!

Here's the details just in case you all want to know...we were wanting another baby and feel blessed that we now are!! I felt fine, nothing too off the rocker but I was a couple days late. Sure enough, positive preg test! I was shocked...it was just Boston and me and I kept walking around the house saying 'oh my gosh oh my gosh' and Boston was like...what's with mom?? :) I call a couple people because I didn't want to tell call Jeff and tell him over the phone. I ran to the mall to get a big brother shirt and a present for Jeff. I then wrapped the pregnancy tests in his new shorts so when he picked them up they'd fall out! I thought I was a genius!

He came home and I tried to play it all cool...I told him I had a gift for him and he picked up the shorts and the tests feel out!! He bent down to grab them and was like...'What!??? Are you pregnant??' It was a fun moment.

I had a Doctor apt that week and they assured me that I was pregnant and 5 weeks along. He even did a small ultrasound!!! Talk about a cool dr. He told me not to be surprised if we didn't see anything because it was so early, but we did! Little black circle...:)

Today I had another apt and we heard the heartbeat!!! 150 bpm healthy and strong for 9 weeks. Boston was 153 bpm his first Doppler...:) I don't care whether this baby is a boy or girl...really! Just healthy! It would be fun though to have two boys.

Boston is such a little stud. I love his fiery spirit. We are taking family pictures today and we're really excited, but that meant hair cuts. He just sits on the stool and let's Jeff cut his hair. So.flipping.cute.

He's also obsessed with 'cy-col' {motorcycle} and has become fond of this toy.

He looks for it right when he wakes up, and drives around the house saying 'beep-beep.' Words cannot express the joy he gives me!!

Beav

There will be a Beav post every year! It's my favorite week I think. We went up way up North {I think about 45 mins from Canada} and play on the lake all day. We have nothing planned, just eat, hike, sleep, chat, swim, boat, fight and such. Those are my favorite vacations. My sister, who I hadn't seen in a YEAR, flew in from Virginia {thank goodness she wasn't there for the Earthquake!!!}. My brother and his family from Denmark weren't able to come because they just had little Lewis a couple months ago--not cool! Jeff was only able to come the last two days because he started his assistant ship that week.

Another successful Beav!!!! It's the saddest when everyone leaves. My sister left today and I would be lying if I said I wasn't really sad. I hope to see her again before next Beav.

In other news, Jeff started school yesterday! I don't have anything to report on that because he's only gone two days! I'm SO excited to say that was his last--first day of school! Nine more months! Wahoo!

Update on Life!!

Although I have been doing ok with blogging, I just feel like I haven't gone into any detail!!! So this post I'll be playing catch up because I have some time...

Jeff--He's going great! He's such a hard worker let me tell you. He's wrapping up his internship this week and starting his assistant-ship next week! He has LOVED working at the Valley Hospital. It seems that they like him too. They keep him busy with LOTS of projects. He also has been working for my dad and step-dad, which he will also be wrapping up this week. The assistant-ship will be taking up all his time and is a great job. He will be the assistant to the head professor of his program. Jeff says it will be tough but worth it for 9 months! I'm SO excited that this the last year of school! April CANNOT come soon enough!

Boston--I can't say enough about him!!! He has turned into such a fun little guy. The best part is now when I ask him to say something he repeats it. It's so funny sometimes because he doesn't say the exact word, but it's so funny to watch him try! Love it! These are his latest...

Right now he has this obsession with Jeff {which I HOPE is just a phase}. When Jeff walks into a room it's all about Jeff. Sometimes he can't even put him down--he'll just whine!
He loves air planes and motorcycles...whenever he sees either one he repeats 'What's that?" about 10 times. He get's a little carried away.
Speaking of air planes--he can see the ones that are a spec in the sky! When I look I can't find them right away, but if I look hard enough I can see it! He has good eyes.
When Jeff get's Boston out of the tub in the mornings, Boston loves running away from Jeff all naked...it's game now.
When Jeff get's home from work Boston demands to go outside to turn the sprinkler on. If we're sitting down he comes up behind you to push you. It's hard not to laugh.
Once Jeff sets up the sprinkler, Boston goes over right away to it and 'fixes' it. He probably thinks he helping.
He says a lot of words...too many to write down but my favorite are 'tit do' {thank you}, pees {please}, aa po {air plane}, Ca-ca-ca {?? helicopter...this one is cute}, No {he says 'No' to about everything}, Al-lay {Alli}, bi guck {big truck}...anyway those are just a few!
He loves to run---he's getting fast actually. He also likes to run in circles...don't ask me.
He is the BEST at giving kisses...he even puckers his lips. Ha ha Jeff doesn't like it too much because he gives kisses a lot, but I can't get enough!
When he gives other kids 'loves' he hugs them, but holds onto them and kind of tackles them. I laugh every time.

Lastly--Me--Things are super busy right now. I'm doing independent study through BYU trying to finish my Bachelors, which hopefully will be July-ish next year. It's somethings I just need to do! I'm almost done with New Testament...probably take the final in two weeks. Also, my business if fabulous. Last week I hit the 500 mark--whew! It's been hard trying to balance school and work when Boston's asleep. Especially since he's getting older and sometimes doesn't take naps! That calls for really late nights. :)

So there's a good update on us this summer! A couple weeks ago we both were free on Saturday so we went to the beach.

Much Needed Vaca

We've been home from Utah for over a week and I haven't blogged about it! What the heck! Two words...super busy. While I was away I had roughly 25 orders so I didn't see the outside world last week.

This trip to Utah was SO much better than the last. I think it has to do with Boston being older and we flew. I was SO nervous about flying with him because he's just so dang busy. He did so well though. It was a rough start to the morning, but once we got on the plane everything was great. {i.e. My bag was too heavy, I left his sippy in the car, we were the VERY last to board the plane...aka middle seat :) :)}

I went two days earlier than Jeff so I could spend time with Lac. It was SO fun to see her and hang with her. Plus, it felt so nice to just relax. Boston also loved her dog, Woody. I'm so mad because I brought my camera but left the memory card in my computer so I don't have any pictures of my time with Lacie!! We swam A LOT, shopped, laid in the sun, watched Bachelorette & SYTYCD, and laughed...a lot.

Then we went to Midway to see Jeff's family--it's just so pretty in Midway.

When I asked Boston what horses' say he laughs... I guess it's because 'Naaa' sounds like laughing? It's really cute.

It's an understatement to say we were excited to see Mike, Jo, Teeg & Camryn!! I wish we got to see Gwen and Henry, too!! I guess Ben will do :) :)

Good ol' Summer

This past week was super fun! REALLY busy but still fun. We're going on vacation tomorrow so I've been making LOTS of blocks and of course, packing. For all you momma's out there, packing isn't fun when a child is involved. You don't want to forget anything! I also had many local orders and Etsy orders to fill, too. I'm glad we're almost there...

Anyway, I have some fun pictures of Boston and me playing and wedding dress shopping with Brit. They're getting married next July in Mexico...ya I wish that was me. :) She looked gorg and will make the most beautiful bride!!! {Chris if you're reading this..STOP NOW--Brit is in a wedding dress and you can't see it.}

Boston is so funny. Who does this?? We were playing 'horse' and he decides to grab a book while riding me...ok little dude, whatever.

Oh and did I mention we got hit the other day??? Ya a HUGE truck didn't see us in the parking lot and backed right into us...thanks big truck.

4th Of July & the beach

I know I'm late but I had other posts to do first! Now it's time for this one--even a week late! So the 4th we went to our friends house, Kent and Megs, and they had a beautiful view!! Seriously, it was beautiful I couldn't get enough! Josh, Linds, and Lucy met us there too!

Also, us girls went to Coeur d'Alene a couple days after! It was SO warm and so fun. The kids played and we were soaking up the sun! I think we decided that as a weekly thing.

It was a fun day! I love that we have so many beaches around. I also love that I have friends that I can hang with when our husbands are so busy.

Shoes

I love little Boston! He is SO funny lately. I have to get a picture of it, but he loves going in my closet and throwing every shoe out. THEN trying them on. It's really funny. Now, when we leave shoes around the house he loves putting them on and walking. He actually looked really cute with Jeff's huge shoe's on...ha ha not so much my wedges. :)

Then onto my wedges!! They were a little harder to walk in, but it was funny.

He is Jeff's best friend I tell ya. When Jeff and I are home together, he could really care less about me! He even cries when I pick him up...thanks Boston I only gave birth to you.

He is a little talker too! I have to get some on tape. My favorites are Uh Oh and Thank you. Could be the cutest thing I've ever heard! Oh and I love 'Hi' because he says it in a really high pitch voice.

Team Vegas

Jeff's brother and family came to visit us last week!!!! It was seriously so much fun to chat and catch up with them. Their kids are just so cute too. We hadn't seen them in FOREVER! We are so happy they decided to come visit us even though Dave is super busy with work. It was so funny because they're from Vegas...aka super hot...and it had been like mid 70's which is cold to them! It didn't even feel like Summer here! We all had to wear our jackets at least one day. BUT Dave and Staci--it's like mid 80's now...take that Las Vegas. :)

We took them downtown to feed the ducks--that was actually really fun!! Also to play on the huge red wagon.

We were so excited to meet Brock. He was SUCH a good baby! Also such a sweet baby.

We were so excited they got to come visit. I loved relaxing and talking with them...It made me realize how much I need a friend like Staci around here. Maybe one day we'll move closer to them. We also were making plans for Hawaii in November!! It can't come soon enough!!! Love & miss you guys!!

A day in the life

I would like to say that it's finally starting to feel like Summer, but it honestly still feels like Spring! We've maybe hit mid 70's a handful of times--I haven't even got sun burnt yet!! What the heck! Best news I've heard yet was next week is suppose to be beautiful! I'm so ready for pools and a sun burned body. Needless to say, we've had some fun times already this summer. Boston is just funny as ever and I always have the camera handy! These are his latest!!

The backyard is his favorite place. He could be out there all day if I let him. He goes out there, I check on him every 3 minutes or so and I thought this was too funny. He's just lounging in his chair--just hanging.

I was relentless to let Boston feed himself with ketchup, but he actually did pretty well!! Just the mess on his face!

And of course playing in the sprinkler. He's so funny--he'll just stand in there getting soaked and love it. We went to the pool last week and he wanted to play in the kids pool which was freezing. We finally left because he was shaking but still wanted to go in there...I figured it was best if we just left.

Can you spot him??? That is his favorite spot. It's just rocks and a metal rod so when he hits them together it makes a really loud sound.

How can you not laugh at this??? Slides are his favorite.

Anyway, we've been going non-stop and we're ready for a little break! We are thrilled for our bro and sis to come out from Vegas to visit us this week! We haven't seen them in SO long! I'm SO ready to put my shop on Vaca mode and just relax. We'll have some fun pictures this week!!

My little sis graduated from High School this weekend. I'm actually excited for next weekend because that's when she's having the party...aka lots of food! It was a great weekend tho. Jeff was 'being nice' and letting me go and he'd stay home Boston--he just didn't wanted to go. I think it was a trick because he went golfing right when I got home. I'm happy for Alli tho--she's going to BYU-I in the fall. I was thinking about how she's in such a fun time in her life!!

I also wanted to mention that this weekend we had our friends over that had been gone FOREVER! It was SO nice to see them. I was really excited! Since our backyard was done we had a nice bbq and roasted mallows.

This is so funny. It was awhile ago but I thought I'd share! Boston is just so smart these days. He can understand SO much. Anyway, we were eating Starbursts and I asked him to throw away the wrappers. He threw them away one by one. So cute. BUT I forgot I took out the trash and left the garbage can out!! As the day went on I put a trash bag in the garbage and put it away, only to find this...

It just melted my heart! He knew that's where the garbage went regardless if there was a can or not!

For Jeff's birthday I got him a night at Coeur d'alene resort AND one round of golf the next morning. He was SO surprised! I guess this course is world renowned, which I didn't know, I just thought Jeff would think it was cool because he hadn't played there. Well, when we woke up the morning after we stayed there the weather wasn't good, so Jeff decided to post pone the golfing round because he wanted it to be a perfect day! The perfect day was last Friday!! It was really fun. Our claim to fame is that we played with two ex-NFL players, cool right??? One played for Seahawks and the other was Tampa Bay I think?? They were cool guys.

I told Jeff I wouldn't post this but I lied :) He started his internship on Monday at Valley Hospital and he really likes it. He is one hard working guy. Goes to work until 1-2pm, then goes to another job until 5:30pm. He works so hard and I'm so proud of him!!!!

Yes! I finished the half marathon. It was a big accomplishment and I'm proud to say I did it! People told me that once I finish the half, I'll want to do the marathon and I thought they were crazy. Well...now I'm kind of wanting to do one. :) I think I am crazy tho. I'm thinking maybe September is when I may do one.

I loved having friends to train and run with. I love these people!

We are also re-doing our backyard a little bit. My parents took out the bottom part of the deck a while back so we had to do something to make it look nice. It turned out SO great!

Boston is Jeff's little buddy. When he hears the door jiggle or open he runs to the top of the stairs and waits in anticipation. His face just lights up. Anyway, we're working in the yard, ya know, doing the spring cleaning and Boston is just loving every minute of it. Where ever Jeff is, there Boston is also--with shovel in hand. I can't get enough of it!

Jeff's Birthday, Eating, and ONE year!!!

That's a lot to take in, but let me explain! First and foremost, it was Jeff's 26th birthday! He is now in his late twenties. :) That is a joke--one of the first things he said on his birthday was "I'm still in my mid-twenties"--so I give him a hard time. He even drew me a graph to prove it. He wrote out three quartiles...{21,22,23} is early twenties, {24,25,26} is mid-twenties, and {27,28,29} is late twenties. Ha ha it's really funny because he's obviously concerned about it.

He {I think} had a great day. Started out slow because I had a BIG surprise waiting for him. We took Boston to my mom's for her to babysit--then we drove to Coeur d'Alene. I had already gone out there that day to set everything up. I got him a night at the resort {right on the lake} and tee time for the next day. I didn't realize how cool it was to golf on that course, but I guess it is because of the floating green. He was SO excited. So we had dinner at the Dockside, which was also right on the lake--then a nice relaxing night {watching Friday Night Lights :)}. I also had some gifts waiting in the room. The best part?? He had NO clue I planned this!

Boston is also growing up!! We got him a booster seat so he can eat at the dinner table with us. He seriously LOVES it. He feeds himself now--which is also so cute!

AND we've officiallyc lived here for ONE year!! I can't believe it. We've come SO far from when we left Provo a year ago. We have one year of school down--one to go!

Boston now climbs...oh man. Once I leave the room, he is sneaky and climbs on something. How I figured this out was when I walked out of my craft room and then 2 seconds later I heard banging. I'm thinking...'hmm, I wonder what he's banging' so I go back there and find him like this...

Easter

We had the typical Easter--food, candy, hunts, food again, family, crying and so on. We really did have a wonderful Easter!! We spent the day out at my grandma's in Deer park. My mom, once again, out did herself with cooking a fabulous meal and then ended with Easter baskets and hunts. It was funny because Boston didn't have a clue what was going on during the hunt, but once I showed him where an egg was, he'd pick it up then throw it and all the jelly beans would fly everywhere. OR I would put eggs in his basket then he would just shake the basket until EVERY egg opened, then he go for the jelly beans. It was really funny. We also had a birthday party for little Parker!! He turned four and they had a piñata. All the kids would hit the dang thing so Boston was curious. We gave him a shot and he actually took the stick and hit it! It was great.

Such a wonderful day to spend with family!!

Another 5k

I ran another 5k last weekend!! I was extra nervous for this one because I was trying to knock time off instead of just finishing it. My first one I ran in 29:08 {I believe} and this time I ran 26:11--so three whole minutes! Wahoo!! I even got third place in my age group {20-39 which seems like such a big age group, right?}. Anyway, it was fun and my last race before the half marathon, which I'm so excited for.

I'm SO happy to say that Boston is off the binky!!!!! To be honest, wasn't NEARLY as hard as I thought it would be. Just the usual whine here and there before bed--nothing too bad. It's such a huge weight off our shoulders! Next thing to think about?? Potty training--but that's still kinda far away. :)

I also wanted to mention that Jeff got an assistantship in his graduate program!!!!! It's a HUGE blessing that he got it. Full tuition paid and stipend each month. I am one happy wife :) That means we don't have to pay for school!!! Wahoo!!!!! It's so great because he'll get to meet so many people in the field which can mean some great job opportunities! He starts in August and will be done once he graduates {which is a year!}. Cool, right?? He works so dang hard and totally deserves it. Too bad I won't see him too much the next week or two because of finals...

I really hope this doesn't jinx us, but we have decided to take the binky away from Boston this weekend. We didn't quite go cold turkey, but close enough. For one week, he didn't have it during the day AT ALL--only his nap and bedtime. Since it being General conference this weekend {aka no church} we decided to take it away completely. It has gone surprisingly well. It started Thursday going to bed--went in twice to tuck him in...within 10 minutes he was out...YAY!! I knew the hard part would be naps, so I was dreading Friday nap time. Luckily, Jeff doesn't have school that day, so I decided to get him all ready and then leave for a run so I didn't have to hear him cry. :) He was out before I even left. Day 2, went in once at bed time and once for nap time. So far so good. Today is day three for bed time--I'm really happy with how this is going!!! Sorry little dude, but this is best for you!!!! It's been bothering me that I haven't been able to do house chores lately!! It's because I get my craft fix in when doing blocks, so why would I even want to re-do furniture on my spare time?? Well, I found time this weekend {and I will next weekend too} to re-do our dresser in our bedroom. It turned out sooo great.

These cute new wreaths are in also. I decided to jump on the band wagon and make one for our door. Jeff is so funny--I kept asking him if he likes it. His response?? 'It's a wreath'. I guess guys' just don't get it, right? Us girls want 'Oh my gosh!! I LOVE it!' Who am I kidding--Jeff would never say that! Ha ha

This next weekend we are re-doing our red TV stand---it's going to be black!

It's been so fun lately to watch Boston copy the things Jeff and I do...seriously cracks me up. I caught him yesterday trying to put on my headphones. It's so funny when he wears them around his neck and walk around.

He also has an obsession with opening these end tables and putting whatever he can find in there. If he has a new find he goes straight to these drawers.

He also plugs everything in. I'm not worried about him getting hurt because he only plugs in cords and hasn't tried anything else, so I'm not worrying, yet.

He loves jumping on our bed also. He is just the funniest little guy. In fact, we were outside playing yesterday and talking about how smart our little guy has become, and as we were talking he was running in the gravel and completely fell flat on his face...he's that smart. :)

Since I thought I could do anything after running a 5k {3.1 miles} I signed up for a 5 mile race. Let me say this, I was training for it pretty well before we left on vacation. I had ran 4.3 miles but not totally ran 5...yet. You know when you pack for vacation and you swear you're going to run or do homework, but it never happens?? Ya, totally me. I brought running gear and was so ready to run. Didn't.happen.once. Saturday came and went and I ran 5 miles in 49.08 minutes. Best part?? It wasn't the hardest. My dad and Jeff are trying to talk me into Bloomsday which is 7.45 miles. I think I can do it, it's just a matter if I want to. :)

The weekend was kind of crazy so I hope this week settles down a little bit!! Jeff is super busy with projects and since I'm off vacation mode my shop it getting busy again--can't complain tho!!

Boston also just turned 16 months yesterday and is funnier than ever. He is so smart too--he can sit for an hour putting the cap on a bottle and take it off...or unplugging and plugging the fan {I have to watch that tho}. He understands and can say hot, moo, noises of a monkey, dogs {which comes out as 'ck'}, and 's' for snake. It's really fun to watch him put the name of animals and noises together. Proud mama!!!

Utah Vaca

Oh man, this was a MUCH needed trip!!!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness for spring breaks. :) We needed to just get away for a little bit, but surprisingly after a week of being gone, we really wanted to sleep in our own bed. Boston was a little more difficult this time around because he is older now and MUCH more independent. Twelve hours in a car?? Ya right. We drove seven hours to Idaho Falls and stayed in a hotel {while visiting my cousins and cute new baby, Juliette}. We went swimming/sat in the hot tub and loved that. Boston was so funny swimming...LOVED splashing, being thrown in the air by dad, thinking he can jump in all by himself, and trying to get away from us and let him swim on his own.

My wedding dress is still in Utah and I always wanted to try it on but I was either pregnant, or had weight to loose, so I decided to do it! One.happy.girl

Boston is seriously obsessed with brooms..NOT kidding. We went to a pet store awhile back and could of cared less about the dogs and went straight for the broom. Here we were playing in water and guess what??? Saw the janitor with the broom so he stole it and took off...

We also went skiing in Deer Valley--it was beautiful. I loved it. Jeff and his dad are pro's. I had gone before but not in years, so I was a beginner. We had a blast until Jeff decided to take me down a double black diamond and I kept falling, so I was over it then...

That night we went swimming at the coolest pool for kids...Boston seriously was in heaven. Before we left for the trip I bought Boston a new swimming suit and he looks like a little kid now.

How much did I love visiting this cute family? We wanted to make sure we visited them because Jeff and Kurt studied together all the time!! It was sure great to meet Madden and see how big Kru is getting. Jordan and Kurt are so great!!!

We ended up leaving Rexburg at 8pm because we just wanted to get home. So Boston slept for five hours then woke up the last 2 1/2. But! He was really good. He just watched us drive. We got home at 2 am {we were used to an hour earlier tho} and crashed in our bed. We also visited Audra & Tyson and my best friend Lacie & Jeff but forgot to take pictures...whoops!!

I find myself not taking NEAR as many pictures as I used to! What the heck!! I only take pictures of what I'm making and not enough of my cute baby/husband. Things are starting to slow down because we're going to Utah this Friday for a WHOLE week!! I'm so flipping excited. I'm putting my shop 'on hold' or aka inactive, so I don't come home from Utah with lots of orders and I'll be SO busy. So--the best thing we could think of was just put me on 'vacation mode'. I'm secretly really excited to not block for one week!

If you're wondering why we're going it's because Jeff has Spring break. We are really excited to see family and friends! We miss them SO much!! Jeff's going skiing for the first time this year :). I'm going to relax...that's what I'm most excited for!! Nothing too much is going on--but I'll have a fabulous post about Utah when we return! Valentine Fiasco

I had SUCH a great Valentine's Day. I had MANY laughs with friends...and a great husband at my side. Josh & Linds invited us to go to dinner at the Melting Pot for Josh's birthday and V-day. I can't tell you how much fun we had. At the end of the night we were laughing really hard. Here are some pics to prove it! **Please notice my lovely editing in Picnik :)

best part of the night was this creme'...as we called it. Like I said, we were getting really funny at the end of the night and dessert was BY FAR the best part...so we started calling the white chocolate creme' brulee, 'the creme'. You probably had to be there for it.

Brian Regan & Such

I HAVE to get better at blogging! My blog book won't be that great if I neglect it now...:) ANYWAY! We had the greatest opportunity to go see Brian Regan last week. It was our anniversary present to each other...it was SO great. We went to dinner and did that whole sha-bang. :}

You guys, he was seriously so great live. He had us ROLLING. We dragged my mom and Pete along and I've never seen my mom laugh that hard. We will go every year if he comes!!!

I also went to Stinky Sneaker...HUGE rivalry game with my old high school. It was great being able to be in the stands for once and not cheering. I forget how big of a production they put on. Boston was having the time of his life because there was so much going on....

Oh! It's gotten to be so big that they moved it to the Arena!!

I was honestly so impressed how well he did! We were easily there for 2+ hours and he just sat and watched the whole thing!!

I also wanted to add some funny things Boston has been doing lately....

**He takes balls, brooms, shoes, window stoppers, his BIG car and throws them down the stairs. If I give him a toy and he walk away, 2 seconds later he is chucking it down the stairs. It's so funny to see all the different things on the stairs.

**He also takes those same toys and throws them in the bath tub. I get into the shower each day and I end up ruining something because it can't get wet! The latest are my shoes and his popcorn toy. He's also thrown some blocks that I've done and in there are now are ruined.

**He stops whatever he is doing when a dog barks

**He loves being in our front yard and heads straight for the rocks and tries to eat them

**He must be growing because he is sleeping and growing like a weed. He has been taking 3+ hour naps and sleeping 12+ hours at night!!! I can't complain, I love it!!

**He has SO many teeth...15 I believe. Poor guy has been teething since he's been 4 months old and hasn't stopped.

**He's getting faster and faster each day...And when I say fast I mean he is starting to run. Jeff can mimic his run pretty well--I crack up every time I see him doing it.

**He hits...yes, hits. When I do ANYTHING he doesn't like I get a smack to my face...sometime double handed too. Don't worry though, we've got it under control.

**We've been hanging out with some new people {Linds & Josh here's your shout out!!} and they have {almost} a two year old and they go back and forth hitting each other in the face...

**When it get's quiet in the house, he's most likely downstairs throwing things over the door railing...he's obsessed with throwing things. I do have to blame Jeff because he has taught him to through a ball.

There are some fun things about little man!!! Jeff and I are doing well also! He's figuring out his internship right now and just had an interview at the Valley Hospital {we hope he get's that one!!} and is busy sending out resumes everywhere! I'm quite proud of how hard he works, honestly. I'm doing great as well! Busy as ever with Etsy!! I can't complain though, it's a huge blessing that I'm able to work from home!

Outside Lovin'

I just have the funniest pictures if Boston playing outside that I just have to share. Since he is so busy and walking/running everywhere, we can go outside and play when the sun is shining. He loves to run down the drive way and stop at the end, look back at me to see if I am going to tell him 'no' or run and get him. Luckily, he is getting to understand that he can't go in the road. He has the sweetest little face, too. He also likes to eat rocks--typical boy.

We also took a trip to Boise over MLK weekend! We sure do love visiting Jeff's brothers because we don't get to see them that often. Brian and Alyssa were so sweet to let us stay there. I'm so lame and we didn't get that many pictures...just Boston climbing the stairs, which he did the WHOLE time...and Jeff and Brian playing the Wii. I wish I had taken some pictures of Alyssa and I!

He's tries taking the broom up the stairs EVERY day...I always find the broom, sticks, you name it in the middle of the stairs in the attempt to take them down.

Boston has this obsession with the broom. Every time I sweep, you better believe Boston is RIGHT there at my feet watching that broom like a hawk. I can never just leave the broom out because he will steal it and run away with it. The other day the hall closest was left open and he knew what was in there...he opened the door...and ran away with the brook. That little stinker.

Two year Anniversary & New Year

Can't believe this another anniversary post. Our wedding seems not too long ago, and we've just hit the two year mark? Whoa. We had a very nice anniversary. Went to lunch, too full for a nice dinner, and ended with a movie. We saw Harry Potter and weren't too impressed. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie, but we felt like the producers were just dragging out the last movie. I bet part two will be awesome. Jeff, of course, got me two roses. His thing is that for every year we're married, that is how many roses I get. I told him he's in trouble when hit the 60 year mark...his response? He said "we'll be lucky to make it that long!!" I guess he was meaning we'll be lucky if we make it to be that old, not implying our marriage won't last that long! Our gift to each other was Brian Regan tickets at the end of January!!! We can't wait!

The best part about getting married at SL Temple was for sure the lights! Made our pictures SO pretty!

It was freezing...but I'm so glad that all these people were there!

One year later!!!! I know I have a chubby face, but let's face it, Boston was 4 weeks old.

Two years later and still love each other!! It's crazy to look back at what our little family has went through to where we are today. We had next to nothing then, and now we have so much to be grateful for!!! I love you Jeff...here's to many more!

I have been SO lucky to have Jeff out of school and will continue to love it for 16 more days!!!!! It was pretty wild and crazy the last week Jeff was in school...I was busy with Christmas orders and he was SO busy with finals. It was a really stressful week. I just feel that I haven't been that great about blogging lately! It's been nuts around here that blogging has been the last thing I've wanted to do!! Needless to say--I need to keep up my blog book! Our house finally is decorated with Christmas! I have tons of blocks laying around...and our tree is up! We did that whole thing yesterday AND I'm happy to say that Boston hasn't touched it once! He doesn't show the slightest interested either--let's see how long that lasts!

We are enjoying ourselves here--Jeff is finishing up his FIRST semester in his Master's program. He is so busy! We probably had 20 minutes worth of talking last week. I've been keeping busy with Etsy and Boston and life!

No more mullet!!

Boston is just so funny--the other day he made me laugh so hard. I love that he can do that! Such a special little guy! Anyway!! He got his first hair cut! He had like a major mullet. I used to give him a Mohawk on top, but it was too dang long!! It seriously was like two inches tall!! Then on top of that, he had SUPER long hair in the back aka mullet. We were wanting to wait for Lacie to come up for Christmas to do it, but it was too white trash!

It also came to a point in the front too! This hair cut was much needed!

You can't see it all that well, but it's MUCH shorter on top. He looks like a little boy now...no more baby :(

I also just wanted to show what I was talking about in the last post about how cute Boston is when you're holding him and he turns his head and looks at you and smiles....

He does this all the time! It's Jeff's favorite thing he does...

I've had so many emotions this last little while--being Boston's first birthday and all. I just can't believe my baby is already one. His birthday was last Saturday--it's just been a crazy week that I haven't gotten around to blogging! Here are some pictures on November 20, 2009!

Holding him for the first time

It's so crazy how little they really are huh? AND this was one year later--November 20th, 2010!!!

My mom completely spoils him with toys...his blow up fire truck.

This could be my favorite picture of all time. He didn't sleep really well the previous night so Jeff got up with him at 5am because he wanted to play. At 7am I woke up to this...both crashed on the couch. LOVE this.

We got him this...he walks all over the house with it.

Our friends gave him this stuff...cars, footballs, bath toys...etc!! My dad got him a way cool four-wheeler car and he loves that too! My mom got him sensory balls, this ball thing where it shoots the balls everywhere and cars. He LOVES cars. He was spoiled on his birthday!

His cake--which by the way he didn't even touch! I kinda had to smash his hand in it to make it look like he tore into it...but he didn't.

See?? Not the slightest interest in the cake. So I ate it over the next four days...:)

Our friends and family! I am so grateful for Boston...he brings so much joy in our lives it's crazy!! At one year Boston weighs 22.5 lbs and is 31 inches tall. 50th percentile for weight and 90th for height (go figure :) Some funny things Boston does--when he wakes up he jumps in his crib and that's what wakes us up, when I do my make up he steals the brushes and crawls around with them almost all day, he loves flowers, loves cars and pushes them around using one finger, loves when the dishwasher is open, says dada (not sure if he knows what he is saying, but when we work with him, it sure sounds like he is trying to say it), takes off in church for the doors, and plays with the stoppers (which are LOUD), has 10 teeth (two molars), loves playing the kids, loves when you chase him, when you make an ugly face at him--he'll try to do it back by scrunching his nose and showing his teeth (it's soo funny), loves being thrown in the air, has taken 3 steps, is SOO fast at crawling, pushes everything around (chairs, highchairs), isn't that great at eating :/, hates when Jeff leaves, BUT crawls to him the second he walks in the door, when you're holding him--he tilts his head and looks right at your face, pushes his nose into your nose, won't take a sippy cup, loves milk and he is still terrified of the vacuum. We love our little guy.

...that in ONE week, my little baby will be one year old. I'm sure every mom goes through this. He is just turning into a little toddler...he learned how to give kisses today {wet, but so cute}. This is me a year ago...

Makes me slightly emotionally thinking about how big he is. I'm really excited too because Jeff and I got him such a fun birthday present...it's like a car/buzz light-year thing. Way cool--got it at Costco. Here goes to the last week of my baby being a BABY!

Trip!

It's been super busy around here but I wanted to share our trip this past weekend! We visited Kristy (Jeff's sister) and the family in Portlan. It was extra special because Jeff's parents flew in from Utah and it was a party! This is a first, but I didn't take many pictures...oops, but I have a few.

Okay, how funny right? On the drive home he was SO tired. He fell asleep like 10 minutes after this. The next pictures are so fun. I took a few picture for our friends for family pics (I used her camera and everything--she's a pro photographer), and we took some pics of the little dude.

There is a story being told here...he's wondering what these "leaves" are.

So guys--I've been really wanting to make and sell crafts for a loooong time, and finally I had the guts to do it. I set up an account on Etsy. It's a really cute/vintage/handmade store online where everyone can sell or buy things. Here are some things I've made.

Trunk-or-treat!!

This weekend was very fun! Boston was a dinosaur/dragon/alligator/whatever is green with spikes. We took him to my parent's ward and went trunk-or-treating. Great chili and corn bread! Here are some fun pictures!

It'll be so much fun next year because we'll actually take him trick-or-treating and he'll have a better idea on why he was dressed like this and getting candy. We are also sooooo excited because we are going on a little trip this this weekend to see Jeff's sister and parent's in Portland!!! We are thrilled!!

Green Bluff & Homecoming

Jeff doesn't have school on Fridays so I love taking advantage of that. Right when he got off work he came home and I said get ready because we were going to green bluff!! (It's a huge apple orchard) It was just so pretty.

Then! We went to the homecoming game to watch my sister cheer (and I guess to watch some football :).

Boston's newest thing is to put his binky in his own mouth...9 out of the 10 times he puts it in backward, upside down, or side ways. But it's so cute to see him do that.

Ever since Boston was a newborn he wasn't the best eater. Seriously. It was always so hard trying to feed him. As time went on and he grew older, it was time to start eating solid foods. So at six months he started having baby food and cereal. He actually wasn't too bad at this. BUT!! Something changed in late August. He would NOT eat baby food anymore. He would cry because he didn't want it, I would cry out of frustration,. It was just a mess. Poor Jeff didn't know what to do. So I tried feeding him 'real people food' like oatmeal, bananas, apples, etc. NO. He would take a few bites but wouldn't do a meal out of it. Oh the frustration. It was so hard when it came to feeding time. With his first birthday creeping up on me, I know he has to eat real people food. SO! I committed myself to try even harder!!!!!! Oh and did I mention he doesn't like his high chair?? That makes it A LOT easier (ya right). BUT I found what he likes---mandarin oranges!!! I mean he just stands there holding onto my knees and just can eat so many. This is just a huge relief. I know he can't just eat those, but he also really likes bananas now, crackers, cheese, oatmeal, and everything Jeff and I eat he always wants bites. I'm just glad it's getting better because this was a serious stress for me! So I had Jeff take a picture of how he just stands there always wanting more mandarin oranges.

Now this is just funny. He put the bottle on this chest while eating...all the while playing with the wheels on the truck. It was so funny looking. He's so smart.

This little guy, I swear, is getting so smart. He loves his binkie and looks for it. See? He went through my diaper bag, pulling everything out and once he found his binkie he was on his way. Guys, I swear he loves that thing. Jeff and I hope to ween him off of it around Christmas...when we're both home.

K now don't judge me for this next picture. He has been doing it so I wanted to document it, because let's face it, it's kinda funny. So once I heard the splashing I ran in there and told him no, but then decided to quickly run and grab the camera and take a picture. I'll have you know that after this I took his hands out and washed them.

Gross? Yes. Funny? Yes. I need to learn to keep the toilet seat down from now on. Jeff has been reminding me but it's just a habit I need to get into!

That's about it for now...did I mention he'll he one in less than a month? Man. I am shocked by that. In other news, Jeff is doing great in school. He just got a 96% on a test and was top in the class (along with a friend of his). He's really enjoying it and tells me all sorts of health care stuff. He says it's a lot harder than he anticipated though, which I guess is a good thing that he is challenged. He's working in the mornings and school at night, which means I rarely see him, so we cherish the weekends. I'm doing great too. I'm working on these last few pounds of baby weight and I'm getting really close. I just signed up for a 5K (3.1 miles) on Boston's birthday, which I think is pretty cool because that's my way of celebrating his birthday...with a race! I'm hoping that'll be the day where I have shed every last pound of baby fat. Things are going great here, we're really enjoying our family and life here in Spokane.

Not a dull moment

I had a bright idea this past Friday to go to a park and have a picnic. It was getting later on in the day so I was hurrying so it wouldn't be freezing while we ate. Well, I failed...miserably. We got there and the sun was down and it was sooo cold. We ate our food quick and left within 15 minutes. It was the thought that counted though.

We got the cutest hat for Boston after our freezing picnic at the mall. It has like a mohawk and a skull on the side...so Boston. As much as I love when he cheeses...I had to get a sweet picture of him like the one below.

His new obsession is the dishwasher. Seriously. Sometimes I just open it so he'll keep busy for awhile.

Pumpkin Patch

Me and some girly-friends (with the babes) went to the pumpkin patch yesterday and it was really fun. Not to mention it was sooo pretty outside. Jamie was in her own little world going at it finding perfect pumpkins, while Taylor and I took pictures of our babes. She has a little girl that's four months younger than Boston. I got 3 pumpkins for $5.

much needed projects

I have had so many projects on my mind lately--curtains, painting the front door, and I needed a wreath! Well guess what! I completed alllll this week! whoop whoop! My best friend's mom rocks and she helped (more like made) them. We found the fabric sooo fast, got a screamin' deal and started. We made matching pillows as well. Now we have curtains on our back sliding door so no creepers can look in. :)

Cute right? I love them. They added the perfect amount of color. They were a huge success. Second, I made a halloween wreath I saw on another blog and again, I love it. So easy and so sleek looking. It said to use real candy corn but I found fake ones at Tj Maxx that were sparkly and let's face it, they were better than real ones.

Oh and notice the color of the front door??! We finally made it match the whole rest of the house. It made a huge difference. Look.

Lacie's mom (Lisa) and I also made matching pillows for our couch, but I liked them so much I put them on our bed. We don't have much color in there yet, so it fit.

Anyway, I love the curtains so much that I'm wanting to do all the bedrooms. And! I can't wait to make a Christmas wreath out of something way cool...

Boston sure knows how to tear up a place in .05 seconds. I don't even try to pick up after him anymore, I do it when he is in is room, asleep, for the night. He sure is getting to be so fun.

I thought this was so darn cute--him reaching in the bucket for more toys.
